I get a lot of quotes and motivational stories from friends and family; via my email. However, few are worth reading or remembering as is The Cab Ride. The love this cab driver–Kent Nerburn–shows to the old woman is how I always hope to conduct myself towards others.
First, I have learned that I need to slow down and perceive the needs of others and then determine how I can be of service. Then, to perform that service with love and kindness towards those I am serving.
I love to read stories like The Cab Ride because they not only inspire and motivate me to try harder to be of service to my fellow man but they almost always give me insights and ideas on how to more efficiently be of service to others.
The author of this piece was not in the email sent to me. Although, after doing some research on the Internet, I found it online and have attached a link to it below for copyright purposes.
