A Favorite Memory
Jill and I spent last night and today tending Steven’s kids, Ileigh and Jack. Their mother, Jessica, was recovering from surgery on her knee.
After breakfast this morning, Jill took Jack, Cameron, and Brooklyn to North Park. In the meantime, I worked with Ileigh on her math lessons at Khan Academy. Ileigh will be going into third grade next year and already knows how to find the area and perimeter of basic polygons.
When Ileigh had finished her math lessons and assigned reading selections, I took her for a motorcycle ride around Spanish Fork. Upon finishing our ride Ileigh, as she put it, was “starving-to-death” so we went to Wendy’s and ate lunch together.
Lions and Tigers and Bears – Oh My
When Ileigh and I finished lunch, we met up with Jill and headed north to BYU University for a tour of the Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum (see pics in the photo gallery below)… Lions and Tigers and Bears.
At the conclusion of our museum outing, we took the grandkids to a malt shop for an ice-cream treat. Later, Jill and I met up with Steven and Jessica–at the malt shop–so they could pick up Jack and Ileigh to take home.
Jack and Ileigh are great kids! Steven and Jessica are doing an exceptional job raising my grandkids; they are happy and healthy, and I love them!
It was a fun-filled and satisfying two days with my grandkids… a day I will always treasure! Moreover, I am so lucky to have the family that I do… I thank God every day for each one of them!
