Wedding Day
James D. Carlson (23) of Spanish Fork, Utah, and Alyse Staheli (20) of Payson, Utah were married in the Manti Temple today–January 5, 2013–for all time and eternity; it was a great day for this family! The marriage and sealing were performed by Lamar B. Bartholomew, who conducted an inspiring ceremony. Alyse comes from a good family, and we are happy to have her in our family. I could strongly sense the love these two have for each other as they took their vows… it was a memorable occasion for all.
After the ceremony, we stopped for a quick lunch and then proceeded to Payson for the wedding dinner. Furthermore, the turnout was excellent, and the food was fine. James and Alyse’s wedding day reception was highlighted by a tribute to James and Alyse by their mothers. After the wedding dinner, the newlyweds traveled to Park City, Utah for their honeymoon.
Memories and Hopes
James has been a great asset to this family, and I have enjoyed watching him grow up. I have many fond memories of James while he was a child. Also, I have followed his athletic endeavors and conquests with much pride and admiration. James has a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and honors his priesthood responsibilities. In addition, I know Alyse will be a supporting and loving wife to James and a good mother to their children. Finally, I wish them the best of luck and continued success to include long, happy, and healthy lives in their new journey through life together!
Advice to James
Remember, birthdays are important to a woman. The most effective way to remember your wife’s birthday is to forget it just once! Also, the same goes for your mother…
