Happy 35th Wedding Anniversary Baby… what a hell-of-a-ride and the best years of my life!
Like all exquisite and sublime things in life, there are neither the words nor present ability and understanding to describe or express how I feel about my wife Jill. I am still in awe of her, and she consistently overwhelms me. She is, first and foremost, the love of my life, the light of my life, and the consummate soulmate.
I have learned, and continue to learn, more from her about what true love, kindness, patience, positive enlightenment, and forgiveness are all about. Fortunately, these character traits just seem to come naturally for her. In contrast, I have to work consistently and vigilantly on them every day. Even then, I still fall hopelessly short in comparison. I don’t know anyone that would disagree with these sentiments. Moreover, she characteristically is what I aspire to be.
Jill is definitely the better half of this marriage, as anyone will attest to. In addition, she has pulled more than her share of the weight in our family during the times I have slacked off or faltered. Also, I have a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for all that she has sacrificed for me and will be eternally indebted to her!
Short But Sweet and Memorable Getaway
I asked Jill if there was anything special she wanted to do for our 35th wedding anniversary this year? She readily replied, “I want to see the giant redwoods in northern California!” Well, out of all the places we could have gone and things we could have done… go figure.
We never made it to the “redwood forest” because Jill is the primary caregiver for her mother and couldn’t be away from her for an extended period. However, we did get to spend a memorable weekend in Aspen and Vail Colorado. I hope that sufficed as a suitable alternative dear? 🙂 A video slideshow was produced to remember this wonderful weekend… I hope you enjoy it, baby!

Finally, I will close this post by hoping the next thirty-five years are just as good… or even better if that is possible! Jill, I LOVE YOU and always will…!
